Main advantages of Flameless Gasification technology and qualitative indicators of its application

Just a few of the technological and design advantages of the Flameless Gasification complex

  • No use of reduced pressure during the process of thermolysis (works in the atmospheric pressure mode);
  • processing of newly received municipal waste through flameless gasification in the medium without oxygen (i.e. no direct combustion and no draught of air or oxygen);
  • Uniform flow of the gasification process, which provides the continuity and stability required for obtaining the final product for a potential customer, and transfers into gas phase about 99.99 percent of the organic part of oil shale (excluding mineral impurities). Usage of this method practically eliminates the need for landfills, deposition and accumulation of municipal waste;
  • lining is not used in the reactor of the gasifier, as for its design has an outer metal wall heating, which creates at least a 50-fold enhancement in heat transfer, compared to other competitor gasifiers;
  • Modular design of the flameless gasification complexes allows to assemble systems of different size and capacity, depending on customer needs. The foundation of the flameless gasification complex does not require a deep laying, which makes it easier for assembly/disassembly;
  • gasification of different by their origin and composition of the waste (even with a large content of mineral contaminants and water, down to the sewage sludge, as well as accidental ingress of batteries, accumulators and mercury lamps);
  • Through the use of innovative solutions, the installation consumes minimal amount of electricity and heat for its own use (no more than 15% of the incoming raw material volume, where competitor gasifiers consume for the same purposes from 25 to 45% of the incoming raw material);
  • variety of power systems (from 5 000 tons of waste per annum), allowing to employ flameless gasification equipment even in small cities and towns;
  • production of chemical products from generated waste allows increasing of the export potential of a project itself, and of a country of project's implementation as a whole;
  • payback of investments into the project of flameless gasification of generated municipal waste will not exceed 4-7 years (depending on the marketable products to be produced from syngas).

Realization of projects based on thermolysis will allow:


  • to raise the status of any region, city or town, making it front line in any country in the field of management of municipal waste;
  • to process or preserve and refine most of the existing and operated places of municipal waste deposits;
  • to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to compliance with the requirements of the Paris Agreement of 2015, and to create conditions to improve the environmental safety of any region, city or town, as well as country as a whole;
  • to create a high sanitary and hygienic conditions of the population living in the regions, cities and populated areas of any country;
  • to create new jobs (including for the low-skilled and socially underprovided people) in the region, city and populated areas of any country;
  • to create real conditions for increasing the economic, environmental and food security in the regions, cities and populated areas, as well as in the country as a whole.
 

Realization of projects based on thermolysis will not require:


  • allocation of lands in the regions, cities and populated areas of your country for setting up new landfills for disposal of generated municipal waste;
  • increasing of utility rates for the residents in the regions, cities and populated areas of the country for the disposal and depositing of generated municipal waste;
  • introduction and costly maintenance of separate collection of generated municipal waste in the regions, cities and populated areas of your country;
  • reorganization in the regions, cities and populated areas of the country of current regimes of disposition of generated municipal waste;
  • exclusion from the use of the country's population of plastic and polyethylene packaging.
